Description

Transformers "A Prime Problem" Production Cel Group of 3 (Sunbow/Marvel, 1985). This lot has more than meets the eye! From the original Transformers animated series, we have in this lot a great collection of three hand-painted production cels from the fantastic episode "A Prime Problem." On the cel numbered B14 in the top right corner, the Autobot Jazz makes a star appearance with an incredible action pose that shows up at the 16:51 mark of the episode, with Optimus' right-hand robot measuring 4.25" x 4". The evil Megatron shows up in the production cel A-1 as seen at the 13:37 timestamp, presenting the leader of the Decepticons standing at 3.25" x 4" on the two-layer cel. The third cel, numbered A1 End (the first and last image shown in the shot!) features Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave witnessing on a screen their plan of copying Optimus Prime unfold, to Spike's dismay, with the scene measuring an image size of 4.75" x 4.5" on the 12-field production cel, showcased at the 16:59 mark of the episode. The three cels show light fading on the linework and have blank animation sheets stuck to their backs. Megatron's cel has toned tape on the top and bottom edges. Some paint specks are seen on the cel labeled A1END. In Very Good condition with very light handling and edge wear from production.
