Description

Peanuts Snoopy as the WWI Flying Ace Consumer Products Cel (Bill Melendez, 1970's/'80s). The heroic WWI flying ace, Snoopy patrols the skies on his Sopwith Camel in this inspiring image. Offered here is a hand-painted cel of Snoopy as one of his most popular alter egos, the flying ace. The image of him on his doghouse measures 3.5" x 6.5" on a sheet of 6" x 9" acetate. It was likely used for a greeting card design or other consumer product. Images of Snoopy in his flying ace outfit piloting his flying doghouse are some of the most iconic and sought after by Peanuts collectors. This is simply a fantastic Snoopy piece that would enhance any Peanuts collection. Minor handling and tape residue across the top of the cel. Condition is Very Good.
