Description

Akira Takashi Production Cel with Matching Animation Drawing (Tokyo Movie Shinsha, 1988). "We're going back." Takashi was kidnapped by the Resistance and both the government, and the military want him back at any cost. This vibrant, emotional production cel and matching animation drawing of Takeshi's nervous stare as Colonel Shikishima approaches can be found at about 15:39, a memorable key scene from a character we don't often see! His fellow Esper tries to reason with him to bring him back, but by the time the Colonel greets him, he knows he won't be able to. Takashi measures about 5'' x 6.75'' with both character and shadow combined, while the matching graphite with color pencil animation drawing of just the shadow measures about 3.75'' x 3.25''. The cel layers are marked B12 and A11E with the drawing also marked A11E and includes a small note in Japanese. This key scene is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, faint paint debris, and minor fading/restoration to the linework.
