Description

Skip Williamson Small Smoot and Industrial Scene Original Art Group of 2 (c. 1970s). The big and the small -- both nicely arrayed in a selection of Williamson's clean-lined Underground Comix style. The Small Smoot is a cameo portrait of Williamson's signature character, Snappy Sammy Smoot, explained in the artist's handwriting as a business-card design. (Measuring 2" x 1.5".) The larger industrial piece depicts truckers between jobs, in their natural element. A large lower area of solid black suggests a space reserved for magazine typesetting; no publishing pedigree is documented. This one measures out at 10" x 14". Each comprises ink over graphite on Bristol board, and each is in Excellent condition.
