Description

Russ Heath Latigo Story Page 22 Original Art Unfinished (Cottonwood Graphics, 1990s). Heath had succeeded originator Stan Lynde on Latigo, a Frontier Gothic comic-strip feature in a grimmer vein than Lynde's famous Rick O'Shay. An attempt to expand into a comic-book format yielded this dynamic body-language sequence -- a false start, perhaps, but a glorious false start. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Dimensions, 10.75" x 16.75". faint toning around the edges, slight wear to corners, light spot stains at right-hand margin. Panel 3 is only partially inked. Signed by at Panel 5. Very Good condition.
