Al Smith Mutt and Jeff Daily Comic Strip Original Art (McNaught Syndicate, 1955). The Mutt and Jeff strip ran continuously from 1907-1983. This gem titled "and forty-eight years later they still live under the same sign" harkens back to their origin, with Mutt stating that he was "born" on November 7th, 1907 -- the date of the first Mutt and Jeff Strip ever printed, in the San Francisco Chronicle. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16.75" x 5", with pinholes in the corners, and light overall toning, it is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
