Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson Batman: A Word to the Wise Story Page 24 Original Art (DC Comics/Zellers, 1992). That robust combination of Swan's rock-solid composition and Anderson's nuanced, fluid inks inspired the fans to call the pair "Swanderson." This French-Canadian promotional book is a venture by DC Comics and Ontario-based retailer Zellers, labelled "Special Project" at the upper margin. Ever wondered what the Joker's name would be in French? Wonder no longer. In pursuit of "le Joker" with the R.C.M.P., Batman is advised to "jump in the saddle and ride!" Not only a splendid page, but a also a worthy companion-piece to the 1953 classic "Batman of the Mounties." The piece contains lettering sheets in English and in French. Ink over graphite on DC-brand Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Very Good condition, with adhesive residue, retouching, and light handling wear.
