Description
Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics #2 File Copy (Dell, 1941) CGC FN 6.0 Cream to off-white pages. Back for a second time is the fantastic Warner Brothers crew of cartoon characters, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd, the derby-wearing human star among all the Funny Animals. An interesting sidenote is the "L & M Comics" logo found on the upper right corner of the book: could this have been considered as a publisher's name, or was it just a stopgap until Dell produced a suitable logo for all its titles? We may never know, but we do know that this popular title went on to have a very long and healthy run! This copy is sound and attractive, even with the large "Return to Editorial Department" rubber stamp on the front. Overstreet 2005 FN 6.0 value = $426. CGC census 7/05: 1 in 6.0, none higher.
