Description
Jay Scott Pike Heart Throbs #143 Cover Original Art (DC, 1972). Toby puts an end to an abusive relationship in this cover for the story title "Helpless and Hopeless!" Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The cover is slightly toned, the ink is severely discolored, the cover art is on a separate sheet of illustration paper adhered to Bristol board, the title is on a piece of acetate that is heavily toned, text is all hand-lettered paste-up, the DC logo and header dressing is all stat paste-up, and there is glue residue in the image area.
