Description
Blondie 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Cel #PP 4/5 Presented to Disney Executive Lee Reem (King Features Syndicate, 2005). Blondie and Dagwood's marriage has endured the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, the "Cold War" with Russia, Vietnam, and just about everything one could imagine during their long, long time together. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of their union, this special hand-painted cel was created, based on an actual panel in the strip. That panel, plus their star-studded Sunday anniversary comic strip have been clipped and attached to the backside of this rare Printer's Proof (#4 out of only 5) framed cel. The cel is matted with an opening of 11" x 9", with an inscription on the mat celebrating the anniversary of longtime Disney executive Lee Reem and his wife Irene. The Plexiglas-front frame measures 18" x 16". The black plastic covering on the frame is becoming loose, and is missing along the left side; frame is sold as-is. Cel condition is Fine.
