Description

David Wright Carol Day Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (London Daily Mail, 1960). Episodes 1057-1058 establish trust-fund brat Oswald Patcham as an increasingly creepy eccentric: Even his grumpy old moneybags father is unnerved. These back-to-back episodes advance a story-arc called "Last of the Line," and one can only hope that Oswald truly is the last of his line. Sheer brilliance from master illustrator Wright, utilizing deft, woodcut-like strokes of a fine crow-quill pen. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with image areas of 17" x 5". The strips are moderately toned, with marginal markings and barked corners. In Very Good condition.
