Description

Post-WWII Japanese Illustration Original Art Group (c. late 1940s). Two great mixed-media humorous illustrations from Occupied Japan, including an American Marine attempting to eat rice with chopsticks, and a Japanese merchant holding a short kimono with a dragon design. Both are on textured paper with image area of approximately 11.5" x 9.25", affixed to a mat measuring 17.5" x 16.25. The mats show tape residue coming from behind, but the art itself is in Excellent condition.
