Description

Mickey's Trailer Mickey Mouse Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1938).
"Oh boy! What a day!" Say Mickey Mouse as he walks outside of his house, pulls a lever on the front porch and the house is instantly turned into a trailer and Goofy drives off pulling the motor home. Meanwhile Mickey is inside brewing a pot of coffee. While Mickey prepares breakfast, Donald takes his bath and Goofy drives. It's time for breakfast and Goofy rushes to eat without stopping the car. They enter a restricted area. Horrified, Goofy rushes to the driver's seat and accidentally disconnects the car and the trailer having Mickey and Donald go down a pathway willy nilly with several mishaps along the way. Eventually they reconnect with the car and are safe but the clumsy Goof never notices. This short was released on 5/6/38, directed by Ben Sharpsteen with "Frenchy" de Tremaudan, Cy Young, and Clyde Geronimi all contributing their animation talents to the film. The three drawings in this sequence show Mickey preparing his morning demitasse. You will find these images around the 1:22 mark in the cartoon. These are notably large images of Mickey measuring 6" x 5.25". The artwork is hand-drawn with graphite and red pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Each image is numbered as 17, 32, and 44 with color callouts noted on sheet 17. Very mild age-related toning. Very Good condition.
