Joe Simon Stuntman Comics #2 Story Page 7 Original Art (Harvey, 1946). This "Duke of Broadway" story, titled "The Angel Wore Spurs", featured a visitor from Texas named Sadie. The Duke was an average Joe who got into adventures helping the downtrodden and needy of the city. His "royal" subjects were the Shoe Shine Boy, Apple Annie, and the Hat Check Girl.
