Strange Tales #110 UK Price Variant (Marvel, 1963) CGC VF+ 8.5 White pages. Tied for the top spot on CGC's census, this is a rare and handsome copy of the UK cover price variant of this key issue. These price variants are often more rare than the regular copies; this is one of 63 currently certified by CGC, compared to the 2,625 copies of the original edition certified by them so far.It features the first appearances of Doctor Strange, the Ancient One, Nightmare, and Wong. The Human Torch also appears on th double-bill as well, battling Paste-Pot Pete and the Wizard. The cover is by Jack Kirby, with story art by him and Steve Ditko, a duo that defined the look of the early years of Silver Age Marvel comics, as well as the company's visual style in general. Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value for US edition = $11,400; VF/NM 9.0 value = $21,200. CGC census 9/25: 2 in 8.5, none higher.
