John T. McCutcheon - Editorial Cartoon Original Art dated 1-7 (c. 1924) One of the most prominent political cartoonists for his era, John T. McCutcheon began his career in 1889 and worked until 1946. This day's cartoon took a look at what the new year had in store. Created in ink and Conte crayon over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 14" x 16". The board is toned with small specks of discolorations in places, some edge and handling wear, dust shadows along the edges, pinholes, unevenly trimmed borders, and smudging.
