Description

Frank Willard Moon Mullins and Kitty Higgins Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 2-22-31 (Chicago Tribune, 1931). Moon's "little brother" Kayo and Emmy are the stars of this Sunday strip. Originally a gag strip about a boxer, with the addition of the orphan Kayo, and with Moon moving into Mrs. Schmaltz's Boarding House, the strip took on a domestic comedy feel that lasted for many decades. This week's Sunday also has the Kitty Higgins filler at the bottom. The art is ink over graphite on two pieces of Bristol board with a combined image area of 16.5" x 22". The page is toned with pinholes in the margins. There are also some production oil stains with corner and handling wear. Overall, the art is in Very Good condition.
