The Great Mouse Detective Ratigan Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1986). The villainous Ratigan of The Great Mouse Detective (voiced by the great Vincent Price) is featured here LARGE in this spectacular drawing by the hand of none other than Disney Legend Inductee Glen Keane. This is a very rare rough drawing by the artist (signed "à la Glen"), rendered in blue pencil on vertical 16 field animation paper. Ratigan nearly fills the entirety of the sheet in an intimidating and characteristic pose. Glen Keane is a prominent Disney animator having worked with the studio for 38 years, and he is perhaps most known for his exemplary character animation work on the Beast from Beauty and the Beast among many others. This spectacular drawing by the artist shows minor handling and edge wear with mild wrinkling near the corners and edges and some light staining. The condition overall is Very Good.Auction Info
