Description
The Jetsons Fan Sketch by Dick Bickenbach (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1980s). Richard "Dick" Bickenbach (1907 - 1994) began his career as an animator for Warner Brothers and then MGM, where he worked on Tom and Jerry cartoons for Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera. He went on to become one of the first employees at the new Hanna-Barbera Studio, where he spent two decades animating shows like The Jetsons. Here's a fan sketch done on request by Dick of the Jetson family (with Astro) in their flying car. Outlines of the logo, car, clouds, buildings, and sun were printed in black; Dick added all the characters in ink over graphite, and hand-colored the entire piece with color markers. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.Auction Info
