Description

T. Hee and Roy Williams Caricatures Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1930's/'40s). Offered here is a pair of original caricatures by two of Disney's most talented artists, T. Hee and Roy Williams. T. (Thornton) Hee got his start at Schlesinger Studios and was renowned for his ability to draw caricatures, a talent that would serve him equally well when he moved to Disney in 1937. Roy Williams started at Disney as an artist but was moved to the story department and ultimately becalm the adult Mousketeers on the Mickey Mouse Club TV series. This is a pair of caricatures of the two artists of each other. The first is of T. Hee who measures 2.5" x 3.5" rendered in red and black on a signed note to him from Roy. The second is a magnificently detailed full-figure image of Roy in a Mickey Mouse t-shirt by T. Hee that measures 8.5" x 10.5". Both are on 12 field 5-peghole paper indicating that they were likely drawn in the late '30s or early '40s. They are wonderful images that provide a little insight to just how fun it must have been to work alongside these talented artists. There is evidence of handling and light creases in the the paper of both drawings. Condition is Very Good.
