Description
Peter Pan Captain Hook Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1953). "A pirate's life is wonderful life!" sings the crew of the Jolly Roger following the capture of Wendy, Michael, and John. Frank Thomas animated Captain Hook, who was voiced by the great Hans Conrad. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Captain Hook in full-figure measuring 8.5" tall on a 16 field cel. He is in his complete costume with hat, sword and of course, his hook and can be seen at the 41:10 mark. It's one of the single best cels of this universally beloved Disney villain we have come across. Walt Disney liked the character and assumed audiences would too, so he stipulated that Hook was not to die in his adaptation of the J. M. Barrie's play. The nearly 70 year old cel shows minor handling and condition is Very Good.Auction Info
