Description
Ultimate Avengers Concept/Color Key Painting Group of 4 (Marvel Studios, 2006). Created for the 2006 animated film Ultimate Avengers (based on the comics by Mark Millar and Bran Hitch), here is a fantastic collection of four original concept background paintings featuring the settings of the opening sequence. Rendered beautifully in gouache on illustration board with painted cel overlays, these images are simply jaw-dropping. Background concepts are attributed to Nollan Obena, Robert Harand, Fedja Jovanovic, Tec Manalac, Maurice Morgan, Paul Rivoche, Dennis Venizelos and Lin Zheng. The acetate cels are taped to the top edge of the illustration boards, and they measure 14.25" x 3.75", 9.5" x 15" and two are 15" x 6". Three of the pieces contain production notes denoting scene and sequence. The pieces show minor handling and edge wear, and the condition of each is very good.Auction Info
