Description
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Old Hag Storybook Illustration (Walt Disney, c. 1930s-40s). The Evil Queen, in her disguise as an Old Hag, is magnificently depicted in this black and white storybook illustration, possibly done for a British Disney Annual. This scene shows the Old Hag running in a rain storm; it was a lightening bolt that ultimately did her in during the film's conclusion. The superbly detailed artwork is painted in gray tones with white highlights on heavy W.J. Saville & Co. illustration board. The designation 110A is written in the top right corner, and a paper overlay on the art includes a neat Mickey Mouse foil sticker. The artboard measures approximately 14.75" x 10.75", with an image size of 11.75" x 8.25". Art condition is Very Good with handling and edge/corner wear.Auction Info
