Description
Jokebook Production Cel Group of 7 (Hanna-Barbera, 1982). One of the last projects Tex Avery worked on prior to his passing was Hanna-Barbera's Jokebook. This was a Prime Time TV series aimed at adults, featuring shorts from around the world, and was the only H-B series to not have reoccurring characters. It premiered on 4/23/82 on NBC. Seven shows were made, but only three were aired. Scatman Crothers sang the theme song; Marty Murphy was a consultant, and his style of art was used for much of the opening and closing animation. This is a set of seven of the closing title/credit cel setups, with Marty Murphy artwork incorporated with each cel. Tex Avery is mentioned on the first cel. Very rare H-B history!
