Description

Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote Studio Model Sheets Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1960-61). "Beep Beep!" Chuck Jones and Mike Maltese brought the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote to the big screen on 9/17/49 with their first theatrical short, Fast and Furry-ous. They went on to become one of the most popular Looney Tunes character teams, firmly entrenched in pop culture history. This is a rare pair of studio model sheets for the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Model sheets are important studio documents in the animation process for each studio. Model sheets for Warner Brothers are hard to find and can be seen extensively in the fine book That's All Folks - The Art of Warner Brothers Animation by Steve Schneider. This pair of model sheets was done in 1960 and 1961 with a rare color guide model sheet print done for the network ABC series The Bugs Bunny Show. The standard 1960 Road Runner and Wile E. Model sheet print is 14" x 10", while the rarer color guide model sheet print is 11" x 8.5". Minor handling and edge wear and slight edge tear, otherwise Good condition.
