Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island Tasmanian Devil Production Cels Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1983). The Tasmanian Devil made his debut in the 1954 short, Devil May Hare, one of only five theatrical shorts that he made. Production cels of him are considered very rare. Taz was featured as Pirate Yosemite Sam's first mate in this Friz Freleng-directed compilation animated feature film that starred Daffy Duck. This film used television's Fantasy Island as its parody for the interstitial animation. It was released on 8/5/83. This is a rare pair of hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field production cels of Taz hoisting a cannon, and catching a cannon ball. In this film, Sam and Taz are trying to get their treasure map back from Daffy Duck. We don't think we've ever seen a progression of production cels of Taz. Each one has a Warner Brothers seal and is hand-signed by animation legend and director, Mr. Friz Freleng (1906-1995). These are great images of Taz measuring 5" and 6". The cels are each matted with openings of 12" x 10", and framed (one with glass, the other with Plexiglas) with frame sizes of 19" x 17". Frames are sold as-is; cels are in Very Good condition.
