Peanuts Peppermint Patty and Marcie Drawing Original Art by Bill Melendez (c. 1990s). Bill Melendez first began working with Charles Schulz on animating his Peanuts characters while at Playhouse Pictures, working on animated Ford Falcon commercials starring Charlie Brown and friends. This turned into a lifelong bond with Charles Schulz, that had Mr. Melendez working, in some capacity, on every animated Peanuts project. Here is a rare original drawing of Peppermint Patty and Marcie with a snowman, from the hand of Bill Melendez (1916-2008). These rare pieces of Melendez original artwork were usually done for Animation Art Gallery appearances. Art is in ink and color markers on paper, matted with an opening of 12" x 10"; overall mat size is 18" x 15.5". The artwork is hand-signed by Bill Melendez in the bottom right corner.
