Description

Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day Storyboard Prints Group of 19 (Walt Disney, 1968). "Happy Winds-day!" The 1968 Academy Award-winning Disney featurette Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day was the sequel to the wildly popular 1966 Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. In it we are introduced Pooh's bouncing pal Tigger as well as Heffalumps and Woozles. This is a remarkable collection of 19 original photographic prints of the studio storyboard for the entire film at a very early stage of development. The hand-drawn storyboards for each sequence were pinned up to a bulletin board, shot with a camera, and printed out on photographic paper. Along with the prints is a letter from Walt Disney Productions to Whitman Publishing Art Director Tom McKimson referring to the film under the working title of "Pooh II". Whitman was provided the storyboard as reference in creating a children's book of the film. An interesting note is that Tom McKimson was a former animator for Warner Brothers Studio and younger brother of legendary animation director Charles McKimson. The prints measure 14" x 17" and show very light handling. They are encased in a custom-made Winnie the Pooh themed box. Condition is very good.
