Reed Crandall Spa Fon #4 Flash Gordon Cover Original Art (Rich Hauser, 1968). This vibrant full-color image features Flash Gordon defending the beautiful Dale Arden from a dragon-like beast, delivering a fatal blow to its neck with his sword. Originally published in bluescale as the cover to the fourth issue of EC fanzine Spa Fon, this piece offers a rare glimpse of the cover as the artist originally envisioned it -- in full, striking color. Mixed media on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 10.75". The image area is more lightly toned than the board's edges due to a prior frame job, with the effect most prominent along the lower right edge and corner. Light handling wear. Signed and in Excellent condition.From the Roger Hill Collection.
