Richard F. Outcault Buster Brown Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-15-1914 (Newspaper Feature Service, 1914). Buster finds a way to gate-crash a party in his own house! Created in ink and partial watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.75" x 24.5". As was common practice at the time, the characters, scenes, and objects were only colored in their first appearance in the Sunday as a reference for the printer to follow on subsequent panels. Signed in the last panel. The board is toned, with multiple stains, and a chunk missing from the lower right. There are multiple small rips. In Fair condition. Comes with a tear sheet of the published comic strip that is in Fair condition as well.
