Description

George Herriman The Dingbat Family / Krazy Kat Daily Comic Strip Original Art (King Features Syndicate, c. 1911-1913). Although undated, there are elements that tell us this is one of the later episodes, just before Krazy Kat (and company) spun out into their own strip. The main element is how well-developed those characters are. They are much more anthropomorphic than they were in the begining. The Krazy Kat companion features an "attempted bricking". The daily was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with a combined image area of 27" x 9". The board is toned, with chipped corners, some discoloration along the top edge, and a 3" rip in the last panel of the Krazy Kat strip. There are also pinholes in the margins, and some minor soiling. In Good condition.
