Description
Ernie Chan and Vince Colletta Teen Titans #44 Cover Original Art (DC, 1976). This cover re-launched the original Teen Titans title by continuing the original numbering from Issue #43 in 1973. It also began a long-ranging story arc of Dr. Light's grudge against the Titans. Present on this cover are Speedy, Wonder Girl, Robin... and (re-) introducing Mal Duncan in his new identity as the Guardian. The cover was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with a matted image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo, DC bullet, all trade dressing and cover text are stat paste-ups. Signed by Chan in the UPC box, and signed by both artists in the lower left of the image area. Glass-front framed to 14" x 19.25". Toned, with some paste-up glue residue.
