Description
Lady and the Tramp Jock Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1955). "That's a grand sight." Jock, the loyal friend to Lady, gazes down at his stash of half chewed dog bones in this wonderful animation drawing. This kind Scottish terrier, voiced by the late Bill Thompson (1913 - 1971), can be seen at about the 10:52 timestamp of the film. From when we see the first interaction between him and Lady, as he's trapped sitting on his treasure of bones, desperate to keep it hidden. Rendered in graphite, on a 12 field 3-peghole page that was rotated and re-punched under the image. The scene was supervised by Disney Legend and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Ollie Johnston (1912 - 2008), who was the primary animator for this character. The drawing measures at a page filling 8.25" x 8" space with a delightful expression. The page is noted as 31 in the lower right corner. The piece has light age-related toning, minor edge handling wear, and faint wrinkled creases that don't overlap the image. In Good to Very Good conditionAuction Info
