Description
Celso "Sonny" Trinidad and Tom Palmer Son of Satan #2 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1976). A rare cover to the short-lived Marvel horror series featuring Daimon Hellstrom, the occult investigator and supernatural superhero. Hellstrom has his hands full with demons sent by his father, Baphomet, as the Possessor looks to take advantage of the hero's strife. A classic Bronze Age beauty created in ink and screentone over graphite on cover stock Bristol board taped to a support board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Stat logo/header and text paste-ups, adhesive staining from missing paste-ups, including a stripped-in "Spawn" in Possessor's dialogue balloon, Hellstrom's missing text "Can it be? Am I truly fated to fall before the unholy power of... the Possessor?" and missing title, "Demon War!". Slight toning, tape on the top/bottom edges, staple and pinholes in the top margin, whiteout corrections, with rounded corners, staining, creasing, and edge/handling wear.
