Description

Irv Novick and Dick Giordano Batman #239 Story Pages 4-5 Original Art (DC, 1972). It's a merry melee on this pair of pages from "Silent Night, Deadly Night", featuring Christmas tree combat, ligature by tree lights, and general holiday hostility! Across these two action-packed pages, Batman takes down a dangerous thug intent on revenge in an intense fight scene -- humorously juxtaposed against the festive backdrop of a Christmas tree farm. Rendered by the impeccable team of Irv Novick and Dick Giordano, this thrilling sequence is executed in ink over graphite on two Bristol boards, each with an approximate image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, with whiteout, tape with adhesive staining in the margins, production notes in blue pencil, pinholes, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
From the Irv Novick Family Collection.
