Description
Alan Lee Gormenghast Trilogy Triptych Cover Preliminary Original Art (Penguin Books, 1983). Original art by Alan Lee rarely comes to market, as he has held on to most of his work. Which makes this lovely very detailed pure graphite piece quite desirable. The triptych is a layout of connecting covers for all three of the books Titus Groan, Gormenghast, and Titus Alone. The matted image area measures 15" x 7.5". Glass-front framed to 24.25" x 16.75". In Excellent condition.More Information: EDIT: It appears this prelim was indeed used to produced a printed cover.
