Description

Paul Gulacy G.I. Joe: Special Missions #1 Variant Cover and Story Page 6 Original Art (IDW, 2013). With this piece, you get not only the cover of G.I. Joe: Special Missions #1 but also Story Page 6 from the same issue on the reverse -- allowing you to flip the art in the frame for a fresh look whenever you choose. The cover showcases the G.I. Joe team executing a secret ops mission under moonlight, with Scarlett and Beachhead leading the charge. On the reverse, the action escalates -- guns blaze, explosions erupt, and a HISS Tank looms as the Joes find themselves holed up and surrounded. Renowned for his transcendent work on Master of Kung Fu, Paul Gulacy brings his signature style to this cover and page, utilizing dramatic lighting, realistic facial expressions, and an espionage-driven aesthetic that heightens the tension and intrigue. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with approximate image areas of 10.5" x 15.75" on both sides. Minor edge tear, smudging, marginal pinholes, whiteout touch-ups, and corner/handling wear. Signed by Gulacy in the lower right corner of cover, and again at the bottom of the back side. In Excellent condition.
