Description
Al Williamson and George Evans Valor #5 Complete 7-Page Story "Day of Reckoning" Original Art (EC, 1955). Complete stories from EC issues of this era are hard to find, as most have been parted out and sold as individual pages. Here you get a complete tale. And what a tale it is! A story of honor, and duty, and a young man struggling to find himself and his own way in a world he never made... all the time, surrounded by simply stunning Al Williamson artwork. The details in this work are as rich as a tapestry, and the shadows and the layouts are as lush as a royal robe. The logo and text on Page 1 are all hand-lettered paste-ups. The story pages were rendered twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 19". Page 2 has a stripped-in Panel 5 created on Duotone board. It is affixed with tape from the back. Page 1 is signed by Williamson and Evans in the lower center of the image area.
