Description

Graham Nolan and Scott Hanna Detective Comics #664 Splash Page 2 Bane and Batman Original Art (DC, 1993). Having broken Batman's back in the previous chapter (Batman #497), Bane prepares to throw his broken body down to the streets to show that Bane rules Gotham now. A brutal story (part of the Nightfall saga) that shook up the Batman titles for at least a year, and introduced an even more brutal replacement for Bruce Wayne when Azrael (Jean-Paul Valley) put on the cape and cowl. This bit of comics history is signed by Graham Nolan in the bottom margin and was produced in ink over graphite on bright white DC Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15". The page is production hole-punched in the side margins; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
