Description

Alex Ross Marvels #3 Galactus Splash Page 18 Original Art (Marvel, 1994). A towering Galactus makes his Marvels debut, fittingly rendered by master painter Alex Ross from the perspective of a helpless bystander on the street -- echoing the Silver Surfer's haunting line from Fantastic Four #49: "Shall man now set his sights upon Galactus -- as well he might swat a fly or step upon an ant?"
Galactus' always-iconic Jack Kirby design is fresh in the minds of filmgoers the world over, thanks to its faithful adaptation in The Fantastic Four: First Steps film -- and it has seldom looked more majestic than it does here, rendered in gouache over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.75" x 17.75", mounted to a board of the same dimensions. Light handling wear with minor rippling. Signed by Ross at lower left and in Excellent condition.
