Description

Marie Severin Not Brand Echh #9 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1968). Forbush-Man is a captive on the Boney and Claude Express as they shoot-up everything in sight--including a billboard featuring the silly Marvel parodies featured in this issue. This series touched on the success of MAD Magazine humor with over-the-top exaggerations of Marvel's most popular characters. Rendered in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Age-toned, the logo, header, spine text, and some image text are paste-ups, the artwork is on a separate board adhered to the cover board, with extensive whiteout, adhesive staining, staple and punched holes, tears, and creases in the margins. In Good condition. Comes with CMYK color separations and color proof signed by Severin.
