Description

Johnny Craig Vault of Horror #43 Unpublished Cover Original Art (c. 1980). This striking artwork envisions what Vault of Horror #43 might have been, had the series extended beyond its original 40-issue run. Created by Johnny Craig, the original series cover artist, the scene features Dracula creeping toward an unsuspecting victim, flanked by the iconic horror hosts-The Old Witch, The Vault-Keeper, and The Crypt-Keeper. A rare tribute to a legendary series that ended too soon. Rendered twice-up scale in ink and marker over graphite on an illustration board with an image area of 13.5" x 19.25"; plexi-glass-front framed to 17.25" x 24.25". Signed by Johnny Craig in the image area. Stat logo paste-up and horror host headshot are on an acetate overlay. In Excellent condition.
