Jack Kirby and Chic Stone The X-Men #10 Savage Land First Appearance Issue Story Page 14 Original Art (Marvel, 1965). From the X-Men's first adventure in the Savage Land -- making its debut alongside the Silver Age Ka-Zar in this very issue -- the mission is off to a rough start, as both Marvel Girl (Jean Grey) and Angel have been captured by the Swamp Men and offered up as dinner for a deadly Tyrannosaurus Rex. As a fun little "whoopsie", Jean erroneously calls Angel "Scott" when the pair are faced with the T-Rex.X-pertly rendered in ink over graphite by Jack Kirby and Chic Stone on Bristol board, with a twice-up scale image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Light toning, whiteout, marginal notes, and corner/edge wear. A marginal note at top center reads, "We got candidates for the thunder-god," though we suspect this was intended as text for an unrealized word balloon rather than a reference to the Mighty Thor. In Very Good condition.
