Olivier Coipel Action Comics #1000 Variant Cover Original Art (DC, 2018). The Man of Steel nails the superhero landing in this incredible cover art by French artist Olivier Coipel, whose work on titles like Thor and House of M has made him one of the most prominent comic book artists of the 21st century. This is the only place you'll ever see this specific rendering of Superman as the artist intended, with a muted color palette, since there were significant coloring changes made digitally for the two Action Comics #1000 variant covers this image appeared on (one in full color, the other in black and white, with a bright red cape and heat-vision eyes). Created in mixed media on Bristol board with an image area of 14" x 17". The piece has corner/edge wear and rippling from the watercolor.
