Description
Alex Saviuk and Klaus Janson Marvel Comics Presents #2 Front and Back Cover Wolverine Original Art (Marvel, 1988). A claw-popping cover of Wolverine featured on the front cover of the Marvel anthology title -- as well as a dynamic collage back cover featuring Shang-Chi, Man-Thing, and an early appearance of Steve Rogers as "The Captain", donning the black suit before John Walker used it as USAgent. Ink over graphite on two conjoined Marvel cover stock Bristol boards with image areas of 9.75" x 15". Slight toning, held by tape on the back, The Captain is an original art paste-up with a signature cover paste-up on the left edge, labels in the top and bottom margins, whiteout corrections, with edge and smudging/handling wear. Signed by the art team in the right side image area of the back cover, and by Saviuk in the bottom margin of the front cover and next to Shang-Chi on the back cover.
