Mort Meskin - Johnny Quick and Tubby Watts Illustration Original Art (1943). The balance of adventure and humor radiates from Johnny Thunder and Tubby Watts, preserved in crisp portraits by Mort Meskin. As a defining artist of the 1940s, Meskin's contributions cemented their legacy during the formative era of DC Comics. Drafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 11.5". Signed and personalized by Meskin in the lower right. Lightly toned with minor foxing. In Very Good condition.From the Keif Fromm Estate.
