Description

Bill Everett - Sub-Mariner Illustration Original Art (1968). Everett tragically passed away in the early '70s so there are few specialty illustrations of his in existence. This one shows the character as he looked when Everett first created him as well as his less-angular Silver Age look. The piece is inscribed to fanzine publisher Martin Greim. Mixed media on illustration board with an image area of 10" x 14". It was once taped to a mat but has come loose, there is overall toning from the mat and frame, a small tear in the upper right corner, and tape on the backside, with soft edge and corner wear. Signed and inscribed in lower right to Fanzine publisher Martin Greim and otherwise in Excellent condition.
