Description
John Rosenberger Tales of Horror #7 "The Beast from the Deep" Page Original Art Group (Toby Press, 1953). Offered here are six pages of a 7-page chiller (note: page 5 of the yarn is missing from this lot). The splash was used as the cover for the issue. John Rosenberger did some outstanding work for Toby Press in his early days. This story, an obvious knock-off of Ray Bradbury's classic story "The Foghorn," as well as the 1953 Ray Harryhausen movie based on it, The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, was reprinted by Eclipse Comics in 1986 -- and they paid royalties to Bradbury when they did. Each page has an image area of 13" x 18", and they average Excellent condition.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
