Description
Edgar Church "Cream of Wheat" Ad Illustration Original Art (1916). A lovely period piece from the man with all those wonderful Mile High comic books, Edgar Church. This is an early piece, judging from the 3/16/16 date written on the back of the artboard, along with Church's Decatur Street address in Denver (not the same address where the comics were found). The art is in ink and gouache on illustration board, with an approximate image area of 11.5" x 16"; a caption in pencil reads. "I know's you!" Some minor stains and handling wear in the outer borders; image is in Excellent condition. Signed in the lower left corner.Auction Info
