Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-20-53 (United Feature Syndicate, 1953). Snoopy really gets Charlie Brown's goat in this hilarious and memorable Sunday strip. Schulz quickly transformed neighborhood dog Snoopy from a supporting player into a major character in his own right, with an unforgettable personality unique to the medium. In time, Snoopy's thoughts would be revealed through thought balloons, but here, it's simply his playful expressions and poses that are so much fun to observe, and he hogs the spotlight in every panel of this delightful example. This particular strip was signed by Schulz (as "Sparky") and inscribed to noted comics historian Rick Marschall. The art features an image area measuring approximately 22.5" x 15.25", and is in Very Good condition. If you've been holding out for a great early Peanuts original to add to your collection, this is your moment!
